9 by Design

Many years ago when visiting my sister in Canada - I remember missing a lot of the scenery cause I was glued to the T.V watching the array of interior design shows that were on cable.

So I thought I would scour our Australian iTunes store for good design shows (which is always a disheartening experience as there is usually nothing there). However I came across a reality show called 9 by Design and ended up watching the episodes back to back - I was hooked!

It's the story of a New York couple - Robert and Cortney Novogratz - who buy, design and sell houses while raising SEVEN kids. But the amazing thing to watch is how grounded the family is amongst the chaos - not sure I would be so cool - definitely an inspiration!

I highly recommend it - go to iTunes immediately and download it - you won't be disappointed.

They have a second season coming out with HGTV called Home by Novogratz but I have no idea how to get it in Australia - if anyone knows - please share!

The family room with an amazing glass 'garage' door

The girls bedroom - just beautiful - I love the beds

The kitchen and family room is brilliant.

A little home project

I have been trying to fill up some wall space in our little rental lately and wanted a smack of colour. Lucky me - I found a mirror that was on sale - I just had to fix some cracks in the frame.

So I bought a spray gun and hit it with some undercoat, then filled in the cracks.

After spraying it with a high gloss red I really didn't like the colour so I added a neon red and the result was exactly what I wanted - a smack of colour!!

Now onto the other walls!!

Happy New Year!!

Ok so I'm a little late on the festive messages  - where has the time gone since my last post?  This year is flying already and there's so much to look forward to!

I blame our new addition to the team (Bengal kitty- Mr Tigger-Moufasa) for the lack of work happening around here!

We also bought a stylish "dog bed"for Cody recently and boy did he like it - check out that smile!!

At first the introductions were a little frosty  - but the two were best buds in no time.

Awww.
